Rumbling Bald Resort

Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is a resort community set on more than 3,000 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina, with 27 miles of private Lake Lure shoreline. The property combines natural surroundings — a private sandy beach, 40 miles of hiking trails, and championship golf — with a full-service destination for weddings and private events. Multiple ceremony and reception venues accommodate gatherings from 10 to 170 guests. Lakeside ceremony sites on the community's private beach frame celebrations with views of Lake Lure and Rumbling Bald Mountain, while the mountain ceremony site overlooks the Bald Mountain Golf Course with the ridge as a backdrop. The covered, open-air Lakeview Terrace hosts up to 170 for standing receptions or 150 seated, with 180-degree lake and mountain views. The Gardens Restaurant, Beach Pavilion, and the Legends on the Lake Game Room round out the options for smaller receptions, rehearsal dinners, and intimate gatherings. All food and beverage is managed in-house, with custom menus and full bar service. On-site lodging is available across the property, with wedding guests receiving a 10% discount on accommodations. Peak season runs mid-April through mid-November, with April through June and September through October the most popular months for celebrations.
