About Sardinia Ristorante

Since 2006, Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante has distinguished itself by serving mouthwatering Sardinian cuisine reflective of the glittering home island of the chef and co-owner, Pietro Vardeu. While this inviting Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea is known for startlingly blue water, miles of sandy beaches, and plenty of historic ruins, the island is also known for some of the best cuisine in southern Europe. Sardinian meals are centered around delicious, rustic fare, including a variety of house-made cheeses and flat breads, wonderful fresh fish and seafood, innovative beef and lamb dishes, hearty grains and fresh vegetables, and plenty of fresh pasta dishes including fregola. Chef Pietro, and co-owner/ restaurateur Antonio "Tony" Gallo are talented and experienced hospitality professionals who have created a truly inviting eatery with fabulous food, an impressive wine list, attentive servers and a warm and welcoming ambiance. Their beautifully designed restaurant features a warm color palette, dark wooden tables and chairs, soaring wooden wine racks and a wood-burning oven accented by bright blue tiles -- reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea. Sardinia is also an Enoteca--a wine repository--and the owners have put together an impressive wine list comprised mostly of wines and Prosecco from Italy, along with French Champagne. The restaurant offers around 300 wines, by the bottle, and an extensive list of wines, Prosecco, and Champagne by the glass. Diners may also opt for a quartino, which is a more generous pour of wine in a small carafe. It is no surprise that Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante has been featured on several television shows including "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" on The Food Network; "Check Please! South Florida," and "After Hours with Daniel Boulud." Chef Pietro was invited three times, to cook Sardinian dishes, by The James Beard Foundation. And the restaurant has received rave reviews from national publications, including The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit and USA Today, as well as definitive praise from Miami-based media, which have made the restaurant a local favorite. At Sardinia they want guests to be transported to the simplicity and quality of Italian and Sardinian lifestyle. They focus on sharing the things in life that are close to their hearts: Time spent with the ones we hold dear while enjoying delicious food and amazing wine.
