Satoyama

Satoyama is a sustainable, organic farm wedding venue on 20 acres of hayfield and pasture in central Vermont, backed by another 140 acres of forest, a mountain stream, and large swimming ponds. The property sits five minutes from Route 100 and within three hours of Boston, with the ski towns of Warren, Sugarbush, and Killington all nearby. Ceremonies take place on an east-facing site overlooking mountain views and cascading ponds, seated on wide slab benches set among the meadows. Receptions move to the Barn, a post-and-beam structure about 100 yards from the farmhouse, where wedding bookings are capped at roughly 100 guests. An on-site farmhouse offers lodging, a country kitchen, and gathering rooms for the wedding party, and the grounds include two swimming ponds, an apiary, and roughly 50 cultivated fruit and nut species. Couples are free to pick flowers from the farm for their wedding, especially from July onward, and Satoyama does not require specific vendors — booked parties receive a vetted list of local recommendations instead.
