Schooner Thomas E. Lannon

The Schooner Thomas E. Lannon is a 65-foot Essex-built fishing schooner docked at Seven Seas Wharf in downtown Gloucester, Massachusetts. Built in 1997 in Essex, the vessel sails from mid-May through mid-October, offering guests a glimpse of what it was like to work aboard a Gloucester fishing schooner a century ago — crew assistance and an invitation to help raise the sails included. For private events, the Lannon accommodates up to 49 guests on an exclusive charter, with a captain, crew, and beverage service attendant on board. Weddings, corporate outings, anniversary and birthday celebrations, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and memorial services are among the occasions the vessel regularly hosts. Catering can be arranged through the adjacent Gloucester House Restaurant — including lobster bakes — or through a caterer of the client's choosing. A full liquor license is maintained on board.
