Serra Plaza sits right next to San Juan Capistrano's Los Rios Historic District, is walking distance from Mission San Juan Capistrano, and the Capistrano Depot is also just steps away for out-of-town guests. Upon entry through fabric-draped loggias, the Serra Plaza Courtyard opens onto hand-laid stone pavers, a bubbling Spanish fountain, native swallows circling overhead, and adobe-style walls with old-world details reminiscent of the town’s rich history. Ceremonies take place in front of the Courtyard fountain, framed by Spanish architecture and strung with market lights. The Lounge, with dual fireplaces and an outdoor patio, hosts cocktail hour while the Courtyard transforms for dinner and dancing. Events can run until 10 PM outdoors and midnight indoors while accommodating up to 350 guests. Private access, on-site parking, and a beautiful dedicated bridal suite are just some of the many accommodations at Serra Plaza. For added convenience, tables, chairs, linens, and setup are all included. - What is included in the venue rental cost?
- Private access to entire venue, including courtyard with market lights and indoor lounge. 5.5-hour event time. Access to bridal suite and vendor setup starting 4 hours before your event. One hour of clean up. Tables & 250 ghost chairs.
- What is the venue capacity?
- For weddings with a ceremony onsite, we can accommodate up to 300 guests. For reception-only weddings or other seated events, we can accommodate 400 guests. For a cocktail style event, we can accommodate 500 guests.
- Does the venue offer on-site catering options?
- Yes. Our in-house cater is Jay's Catering. We also work with outside cultural caters if your event requires specialty cultural cuisine.
- Does the venue have a liquor license?
- Yes.
- Does the venue have a curfew for events?
- You can party until 10:00pm in our outdoor courtyard, or until 12:00am indoors in the lounge!
