Sewanee Inn

Framed by Gothic architecture and the rolling greens of the Domain, The Sewanee Inn sits at the heart of the University of the South's campus atop the Cumberland Plateau, with scenic overlooks and sweeping views across the Tennessee Valley. Long known as "the living room of the University," the Inn has served as a gathering place where academic tradition, community, and celebration come together. The property offers more than 8,000 square feet of flexible event space, anchored by McCardell Hall, a 3,472-square-foot room that can be configured for a seated dinner of 220 or a cocktail reception of up to 550 guests, alongside smaller parlors, meeting rooms, and an outdoor event lawn for ceremonies and receptions under the sky. An on-site culinary team crafts menus built around seasonal ingredients and Southern flavors for weddings, rehearsal dinners, and receptions alike. With 43 guest rooms and suites on site, wedding parties and traveling guests can stay steps from the celebration, with room blocks available and spacious suites for the bridal party to prepare. Guests also have access to the property's 9-hole golf course and more than 50 miles of hiking trails across the surrounding mountain.
