Shelburne Vineyard

Shelburne Vineyard planted its first grapes in 1998 on the east shore of Lake Champlain, in what locals call Vermont's "banana belt" — a near sea-level stretch of the Champlain Valley warm enough to sustain cold-climate winemaking. The working vineyard's grounds, with sweeping views toward the water and vines running down to a great lawn, set the backdrop for weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, and other private gatherings. Guests are typically hosted in the Tasting Room, a 806-square-foot space centered on an elegant cherry tasting bar built from wood grown on nearby Shelburne Farms, with French doors opening onto flagstone patios and vineyard views. A separate loft overlooks the tasting room and offers a smaller, more intimate space for seated dinners or standing receptions. From late spring through early fall, the outdoor patio and lawn extend the celebration further into the vines, with tented capacity available through Vermont Tent Company. Shelburne Vineyard's events team works directly with hosts to plan weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and holiday parties, and can accommodate catered dining throughout the property.
