Silver Fork Lodge

Silver Fork Lodge & Restaurant is a mountain lodge set 11 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon in Utah's Wasatch-Cache National Forest, a mile from Solitude Ski Resort and three miles from Brighton Ski Resort. Though only 30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, the lodge sits deep enough in the canyon to feel far removed from the city. What began as a general store in the Silver Fork mining community — an area with roots dating back to the 1850s tent camps of miners and sawmill workers — has grown into a full-service lodge that keeps its rustic, historic character alongside recently renovated rooms, lobby, and bathrooms. The lodge offers seven guest rooms with mountain views, each stay including a complimentary breakfast from a kitchen known for house-made specialties like sourdough pancakes. Its indoor banquet space and upstairs space host winter wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and corporate events for up to 60 and 80 guests respectively, while the surrounding grounds — framed by spruce, aspen, and fir trees — open up to larger summer celebrations of up to 250 guests. Wedding packages include catering, table settings, linens, an archway, firepit, and a day-of coordinator, with a complimentary room offered to the couple based on availability.
