Silverpick Lodge

The Black Diamond Lodge is a mountain retreat and event venue set at 8,900 feet in the San Juan Mountains, just one mile from Purgatory Resort along the scenic US-550 corridor between Durango and Silverton. Originally built as Silverpick Lodge, the property was purchased in 2021 and fully renovated to serve as a premium group destination for weddings, corporate retreats, ski trips, and family reunions. The lodge sleeps up to 42 guests across 12 hotel-style rooms with private bathrooms, and a large dining room serves events for up to 100 guests. A spacious community kitchen, game room, media room, lobby lounge, and mudroom with gear storage round out the common areas. Three hot tubs, a private sauna, and a steam room are available for guest use. Multiple outdoor ceremony sites offer mountain and wilderness backdrops. The property's buy-out model turns celebrations into multi-day getaways — guests lodge, gather, and explore from the same address, with direct access to skiing, hiking, fishing, and snowshoeing right outside the door.
