Sonoita Vineyards

Sonoita Vineyards holds the distinction of being Arizona's oldest commercial vineyard and winery, established in 1974 and opened to the public in 1983. Situated on 100 acres of high desert terrain at 5,000 feet elevation in the Sonoita Appellation — roughly one hour southeast of Tucson — the property cultivates more than 30 acres of estate vines across nine grape varieties, hand-producing small batches of fewer than 2,000 bottles per vintage. The winery's award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon was served at a Presidential Inauguration Gala, and the property remains family-operated today under Winemaker Lori Reynolds, the founder's granddaughter. For private events, Sonoita Vineyards offers multiple spaces including the Vintage Room, an outdoor lawn area, a gravel area with vineyard and mountain views, and a production area suitable for dancing and ceremonies. The Vintage Room comfortably seats 54 guests and can expand to accommodate up to 72 with buffet service, while outdoor areas open the property to larger gatherings. Weddings, business retreats, showers, birthday parties, graduations, and family reunions are all regularly hosted here. Wine for events is supplied directly from the estate.
