Set along the Methow River at the foot of the North Cascades, Spring Creek Ranch is a sixty-acre family property in Winthrop, Washington, run by three generations of the Belsby family since 1976. A manicured lawn overlooking the river and mountains serves as the ceremony and reception space, and the ranch hosts one wedding a month from mid-May through the first weekend in October. Each wedding package includes a venue coordinator who assists with planning and is on-site for setup, a parking attendant, an onsite camping area, and lodging in the Ranch House for up to thirteen guests. Beyond weddings, the property has hosted family and high school reunions, the North Cascade Old Time Fiddle Contest, and five years of its own outdoor film series, Celestial Cinema. Guests can also stay in the Ranch Cabin or the Owl's Nest, explore groomed cross-country ski trails connecting to the valley's broader trail network, and walk across the Spring Creek Pedestrian Bridge into downtown Winthrop for shops and restaurants. - Do you allow dogs?
- Spring Creek Ranch welcomes dogs and has been called a haven for pooches, with open meadows, trees, a creek, and half a mile of river frontage. Two rules apply to all visiting dogs: no dog is allowed on any bed or couch, and no dog may be left alone in the accommodations. An aspen-shaded kennel next to the Ranch Cabin is available, and prior permission for dogs is required.
- Can we stay for one night?
- Spring Creek Ranch requires a minimum stay of two nights, as there is plenty to see and do in the Methow Valley. Guests often choose to stay longer to relax, recharge, and recreate.
- May we bring our horses?
- Yes. Spring Creek Ranch offers free horse boarding in its Powder River Gate corrals, which allow for four separate spaces for horses. Fresh, cold water is provided; guests should bring their own feed and request prior permission.
- Can we rent a single room?
- Spring Creek Ranch does not rent separate rooms to different parties. Renting any of its accommodations (Ranch House, Ranch Cabin, or Owl's Nest) means being the only party staying there.
