Squantum Association is a private dining club and public event space set on ten acres of historic grounds along Narragansett Bay in Riverside, Rhode Island. Chartered in 1872, the club has hosted presidents and dignitaries over the decades and was featured on the BBC Network's Great American Railroad Journeys. The property's two signature buildings anchor its event spaces. The Clubhouse, built in 1899 and 1900, sits high on the rocks of Squantum Point with the feel of a Newport-style mansion; it houses the Culture Room bar, a working fireplace, a glass-enclosed sunroom, and a second-floor deck overlooking the bay. The Bakehouse, established in 1889, is the association's main event space, accommodating up to 150 guests for a seated dinner and up to 225 for a cocktail reception, with WiFi, surround sound, and a projector and screen built in. Squantum hosts weddings, corporate gatherings, and social events, along with traditional New England clambakes steamed over hot coals and seaweed. Wedding couples book only one event per day and receive complimentary use of The Cottage and the second-floor wedding suite as part of an all-inclusive package.
