Sunken Gardens

Sunken Gardens is St. Petersburg's oldest living museum — a more-than-100-year-old botanical landmark in the heart of the city, home to over 50,000 exotic tropical plants and birds from around the world. Owned and operated by the City of St. Petersburg since 1999, the gardens offer a lush, tropical setting for weddings and private events unlike any conventional event venue. The grounds feature several distinct event spaces suited to a range of celebration sizes. The Wedding Lawn hosts outdoor ceremonies with a backdrop of flowering plants and tropical displays, accommodating tent packages for up to 200 guests. The Oak Pavilion, a shaded outdoor space under a canopy of trees, serves ceremonies and receptions for up to 72 guests. The Garden Room — the venue's historic main building — accommodates receptions for up to 176 guests and can serve as an indoor ceremony option. All evening wedding packages include two day-of venue coordinators, one maintenance staff member, tables and chairs, parking, and a rehearsal. The gardens are served by complimentary self-parking, and alcoholic beverages are arranged exclusively through Sunken Gardens.
