Sweeney Barn

Sweeney Barn is a wedding, event, and music venue in historic Manassas, Virginia. Renovated with state-of-the-art technology in 2018, the original dairy barn has been transformed into the perfect location for your event, whatever the occasion. While guests have full access to the grounds, Sweeney Barn's two indoor halls always make for a flexible rain plan. Within easy driving distance to Washington, DC, your guests will be impressed by the combination of elegance and serenity, as well as nearby amenities like hotels, restaurants and late night bars. The Great Hall, located on our upper floor, is 3,240 square feet and features soaring ceilings with stunning chandeliers. The Lower Level Meeting Room offers 2,304 square feet of space and is decorated in light, breezy tones. The largest room can accommodate a maximum of 200 guests for a seated banquet with a dance floor, or up to 325 for a cocktail-style reception. UPPER LEVEL GREAT HALL The original hayloft in the barn has been transformed into our main event area, which is ideal for wedding receptions, fundraisers, retreats, holiday parties, and galas. You can change your arrangement for any occasion thanks to the open floor plan with 25-foot ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and natural light. If you're searching for something different than a typical hotel ballroom, this one-of-a-kind venue will provide an unforgettable experience. LOWER LEVEL MEETING ROOM Our ground-floor meeting space is ideal for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, smaller gatherings and VIP functions. It's a great pre-meeting space for evening fundraisers, galas, and holiday parties. It makes for a pleasant lunch or breakout session for corporate meetings — a welcome change of scenery from the main ballroom during an all-day training session or conference.
