Tavolino Ristorante Italiano has been a cornerstone of Italian dining in Tucson since its founding in 2003 by Chef and owner Massimo Tenino, who was raised in San Remo, Italy. Drawing inspiration from his grandmother's cooking and the family-centered meals of his upbringing, Massimo built Tavolino to merge the intimacy of a neighborhood trattoria with an elegant, modern setting in the Catalina Foothills. Situated at 2890 E. Skyline Drive in Tucson, the restaurant brings together fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, and wines from a family vineyard in Piemonte. The culinary philosophy centers on simple, classic Italian food delivered with genuine hospitality — an approach the kitchen and front-of-house team have upheld for more than 23 years.
