Terrace Bay Hotel

Terrace Bay Hotel is a waterfront property set along Little Bay de Noc on Lake Michigan in Gladstone, Michigan. The site has roots going back to 1918 and earned regional renown as "Michigan's Wonder Ballroom" during its Terrace Gardens era. After a 1947 fire, the property was rebuilt and has operated as a hospitality destination ever since. Current owners Jen and Jarred Drown acquired the property in 2016 and launched a comprehensive restoration, reimagining the Grand Ballroom with coffered ceilings and relaunching the venue under its historic identity. For weddings and private events, the hotel offers a lakeside setting anchored by the Grand Ballroom and an outdoor ceremony space with open water views of the bay. All catering is handled by the onsite culinary team through Freshwater Tavern, offering options from plated dinners to lakeside buffets. Guest accommodations are available on the property, with rooms featuring private balconies overlooking the water, and complimentary kayaks, e-bikes, and beach cruisers available for guest use. The venue hosts events year-round, including winter weddings.
