Built in 1909 and meticulously restored, The Ballroom at the Commercial Club is a one-of-a-kind wedding and event venue in the heart of Downtown Salt Lake City. Set within the landmark Commercial Club Building, the space has been thoughtfully revived to offer today’s guests the same sense of occasion it once provided the city’s most distinguished residents and visitors. A grand ballroom with hand-frescoed ceilings, an inviting lobby, private suites, and flexible meeting rooms create an elevated backdrop for weddings, corporate and social events, photoshoots and production, and a wide range of creative gatherings. The venue also offers an open vendor policy, giving hosts complete flexibility in selecting catering, decor, and bar providers.

Evening rental from 1:00 PM–10:30 PM. Rates start at $4,450 (Mon–Thu) and $5,450 (Fri–Sun). Includes full access to the ballroom, bar, prep kitchen, and suites, as well as tables, chairs, AV, Wi-Fi, climate control, an event supervisor, and setup/cleaning. Open vendor policy for catering and bar service. Extended hours, available until 2:00 AM, may be added upon request.

Includes coordination, on-site event management, lobby access for welcome or extended reception, a weekday rehearsal, a 90-minute pre-event photo session, and all Essential amenities. - How much does it cost to rent the venue?
- Rates vary by day and season, with daytime and evening rentals available. Pricing for our standard contract (1PM-10:30PM) begins around $4,450 for weekdays and $5,450 for weekends.
- What is included in the venue rental cost?
- Ballroom, two private suites, two conference rooms, children's room, tables/chairs, lounge furniture, built-in bar, prep kitchen, projector/screen, microphone, speaker, Wi-Fi, restrooms, event supervisor, setup/cleanup.
- What is the venue capacity?
- Up to 250 guests seated or 500 guests for a cocktail-style reception.
- Does the venue have any décor restrictions?
- Most décor is welcome, including florals and free-standing items. To preserve the historic space, wall attachments and adhesives are not permitted. Candles are welcome if fully enclosed, supervised, limited to 100, and with flames at least 2 inches below the rim.
- Does the venue offer on-site catering options?
- We have an open-vendor policy, allowing you to bring any licensed and insured caterer. We also proudly recommend our preferred partners — Lux Catering & Events, Culinary Crafts, and Krehm — who know the venue well and consistently offer exceptional service.
