The Barn Hornbaker Gardens

The Barn at Hornbaker Gardens is a four-season event center set on a 40-acre property in Princeton, Illinois that began as a destination garden center in 1987. In 2015, The Barn was built to give the property a permanent home for receptions and celebrations, pairing rustic exterior character with an elegant interior designed for weddings and private events. The 7,000-square-foot Great Hall accommodates up to 350 guests and features exposed wood posts, a wood ceiling, vinyl plank flooring, three custom chandeliers, and a wall of grand windows overlooking the gardens. The space transitions naturally from indoor ceremonies in front of those windows to full reception use. A large covered patio provides a cocktail-hour gathering spot where guests can step outside later to enjoy the evening under the stars. The venue is heated and air-conditioned for year-round comfort and includes two private wedding suites for pre-ceremony preparation, a professional catering kitchen, an in-house bar program, and on-site event coordination. The surrounding 2-acre native Illinois prairie and botanical arboretum offer ample backdrops for photography throughout the property.
