One of the premiere hotels built in the 1920’s, The Benjamin Royal Sonesta New York represents the early evolution of skyscraper design in New York City. The hotel’s special character and aesthetic have contributed to its value as part of the city’s development, heritage, and cultural characteristics, becoming an official New York City landmark in 2017. A full renovation of the interior and restaurant was completed in 2025, thoughtfully blending the property’s historic charm with a refreshed, contemporary design and elevated guest experience.
