The Brown Estate is a 20,000-square-foot, 14-room mansion set on 88 acres of pine and azalea grounds in Orange, Texas, complete with a lake, footbridges, and two outdoor fountains. Designed by Francis Warfield & Associates after the 1790s Linden of Natchez, the home was built for the Brown family between 1954 and 1956 and is now part of Lamar State College Orange. The estate's rooms include a glass-enclosed Solarium, formal dining rooms, a library, and conference rooms, together accommodating gatherings from small meetings up to a full-venue capacity of 300 guests. It hosts weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, banquets, and holiday events, with catering and event packages available. Surrounded by lawns used for outdoor ceremonies, the Brown Estate pairs its mid-century architecture and grounds with flexible indoor spaces for both formal and casual events.
