About The Caboose Hudson
Welcome to The Caboose — a 3,500-square-foot Hudson Valley gathering space where historic character meets modern design. With soaring beam-work, cathedral windows, and an open, communal feel, it’s an ideal setting for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events. Our culinary team offers seasonal, Hudson Valley–forward menus from a fully electric, state-of-the-art kitchen. Located directly across from the Hudson River, The Caboose sits alongside our restaurant (Kitty’s), wine shop (Grapefruit), hotel (The Wick), and the vintage railcar that inspired our name. A lush native garden of more than 14,000 perennials creates a serene backdrop for ceremonies, cocktail hours, or relaxed outdoor moments. The Caboose is also a fully carbon-neutral venue, restored with eco-friendly materials and powered by 6,000 square feet of rooftop solar panels. Structural Insulated Panels, double-glazed windows, and a highly insulated foundation maximize energy efficiency without compromising the barn’s original charm — including restored white oak floors and preserved historic rafters. At its heart, The Caboose is a place to gather, celebrate, and connect. Thoughtfully designed, sustainably built, and rooted in Hudson Valley history, it’s where good things begin.

- Is there a venue coordinator available to help with event logistics?
- On the day of your event, we are there to welcome your vendors as they arrive and assist them with any questions about set up, power sources, and guidelines for working within the space. We will oversee setup and breakdown.
- Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
- We are happy to provide recommendations based on your budget and taste, located in both the Hudson Valley and New York City.
- How much does it cost to rent the venue?
- 2026 Venue Rental Pricing Peak Season (May–October) • Monday–Thursday: $7,500 • Friday & Sunday: $15,000 • Saturday: $17,500 Off-Peak Season (November–April) • Monday–Thursday: $6,000 • Friday & Sunday: $10,000 • Saturday: $13,000
- What is included in the venue rental cost?
- The venue rental covers 14 hours for set up, event time, and breakdown. The Caboose handles all food and beverage in-house. We also include tables, chairs, linens, plates, flatware and glassware for your ceremony/event, as well as dinner and bar set up.
- What is the venue refund or cancellation policy?
- >90 days out: Deposit may be applied to a new date within 6 months (based on availability). Otherwise, Deposit is forfeited. <90 days out: Deposit is forfeited and cannot be applied to a future event. Within 21 days: 100% of the estimated contract total is due as a Cancellation Fee.
