The Canyon Club at Four Hills is a private, member-owned country club set in the Four Hills community southeast of Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the base of the Cibola National Forest and the Sandia Foothills Open Space. The club opened in July 1959, the vision of founder W.D. "Bill" Brannin, who partnered with golf course architect Bob Baldock and clubhouse designer Gordon Ferguson — also the architect of Albuquerque's Civic Auditorium — to build a comprehensive recreational facility across the rolling terrain of the Speakman Ranch. The 18-hole championship golf course, a par-72 layout stretching 5,659 to 6,767 yards through mature tree-lined fairways and elevated greens, once hosted the Sunwest Bank Charley Pride Senior Golf Classic on the Champions Tour. Racquet sports courts with pickleball and sweeping city views, a 45' x 75' Junior Olympic heated pool, and a 1,200-square-foot fitness center round out the recreational amenities. Dining options include a main restaurant overlooking the golf course, the Manzano Mountains, and downtown Albuquerque, as well as the Sandia dining room — a more secluded setting with mountain views — and an outdoor patio. The club hosts banquets, weddings, and corporate events, and reserves Mondays for charitable and fundraising golf tournaments.
