The Carriage House at Rockwood Park

The Carriage House at Rockwood Park is a historic event venue set within the English-inspired gardens of Rockwood Park in Wilmington, Delaware. Built in 1854, the 18,000-square-foot carriage house combines sophisticated rustic charm with modern amenities — featuring exposed stone walls, original barn doors, and access to six acres of meticulously maintained grounds planted with botanical specimens dating to the same era. The venue hosts weddings, galas, corporate dinners, milestone celebrations, and private gatherings for up to 225 guests, with both indoor and outdoor ceremony locations to choose from. Indoor spaces include a grand reception room, a dedicated cocktail hour area, and an enclosed gallery suitable for year-round ceremonies. Outside, the estate's Walled Garden and surrounding English gardens provide multiple ceremony settings and a scenic backdrop for photographs throughout the grounds. All events are catered exclusively by Prime Hospitality Catering, whose team brings nearly four decades of experience to bespoke menus crafted for each occasion.
