The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection occupies a 14-floor historic building in the heart of downtown Sacramento, completed in 1925 and designed by architect George Selland. The hotel's décor draws from the city's role as California's capital, weaving political references and early 20th-century detail throughout the property. It sits steps from the State Capitol and carries a 99/100 Walk Score, making it a natural gathering point for guests arriving from across the region. The hotel offers 9,471 square feet of event space across multiple rooms, accommodating groups from intimate boardroom meetings to receptions of up to 250 guests. The Metropolitan Terrace, at 3,000 square feet, serves as the flagship event space and features floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Sacramento skyline. The Plaza Park Ballroom provides a second large-format option at 2,280 square feet, while the Scandal Lounge offers a more relaxed setting with bold furnishings suited to cocktail receptions and social gatherings.
