The Common Place

The Common Place is a community center in Southwest Philadelphia, housed in a building that also serves as home base for the organization's youth and family programming. Beyond its work in education, food sovereignty, and community collaboration, The Common Place opens its doors to community partners and individuals looking to host events. The building offers a handful of distinct spaces for gatherings. The Greenway is a multi-purpose room built around a stage, suited to larger gatherings and performances and accommodating up to 80 seated guests or 125 standing. The Parlor is a smaller, classroom-style room for more intimate groups of around 30, with an adjoining kitchenette available for food warming and preparation. Hosts interested in booking a space submit a request online and hear back from The Common Place's team within 24 to 48 hours.
