The Dempsey

The Dempsey is an eight-acre event destination in Julian, California, located just one hour from San Diego. Originally established in 1912 and thoughtfully reimagined for today, the property brings together distinctive indoor and outdoor event spaces, onsite accommodations, and resort-inspired amenities in one setting. Designed for weddings, private celebrations, corporate retreats, and multi-day events, The Dempsey offers exclusive use of the property with spaces that can transition seamlessly from ceremony to cocktails, dinner, dancing, and overnight stays. Guests can celebrate across the Event Hall, Ceremony Grove, Lodge, terraces, bars, pool, and surrounding grounds, then retreat to 15 onsite guest rooms and private cabins. With a strong point of view on design, hospitality, and guest experience, The Dempsey is made for hosts looking to create something that feels personal, elevated, and entirely their own.
