The Elms Mansion

The Van Benthuysen-Elms Mansion is a beautiful example of Italianate style architecture, providing exquisite grandeur to St. Charles Avenue and the Garden District of New Orleans. The historical Elms Mansion is complemented with period furnishings and surrounded by lovely gardens and patios. It is one of the most sought-after private party venues in New Orleans, and continues to host special events for individuals and corporations including - Extravagant Cocktail Parties - Seated Dinners - Weddings and Receptions - Corporate Events The mansion features elegant touches such as an imported mantel of hand-carved marble, ornamental cornices, 24-karat gold sconces, and a 48-foot grand ballroom lined with jeweled windows. We are proud to say that we are the only historic home on "The Avenue" to offer such functions. In addition to providing excellent New Orleans cuisine, every visitor receives a tour of the mansion, a window into our antebellum past. (We also open our home to group tours.) We continue to receive rave reviews from everyone who has experienced The Elms, and we look forward to sharing our Southern Hospitality with you on your next visit to New Orleans!
