The Fern Lodge

The Fern Lodge is a boutique waterfront inn set on 70 acres of wooded land bordering Friends Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Located in Chestertown roughly an hour and fifteen minutes north of Albany, the property offers five intimate guest rooms — each with a king-size bed, stone fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, and lake or mountain views — within a Great Room anchored by vaulted log ceilings and a central stone fireplace. For events, the lodge specializes in elopements, petit weddings, vow renewals, and honeymoons for parties of 2 to 20 guests. Ceremonies take shape in several lakeside and indoor settings: the lakeside gardens, the screened-in porch with fireplace, the boathouse deck, and the Great Room itself. Elopement packages include a local officiant, bridal bouquet and boutonnière, a boutique wedding cake, sparkling wine, and a full multi-course breakfast for all guests. Full property rental is available, and the lodge welcomes LGBTQ+ couples and celebrations.
