The Gables at Chadds Ford

The Gables at Chadds Ford occupies a pre-revolutionary dairy barn in Pennsylvania's Brandywine Valley, its raised gabled roofline, exposed timber frame, and wall of French windows carried over from the original structure. Owner Ann Kolenick took over the property in 2011 after running McCurdy's On Moonlight Bay in North Carolina, and the kitchen has built its reputation on farm-to-table American cuisine sourced from local purveyors, including desserts that have won multiple festival awards. For private events, the second-floor banquet room offers a private entrance, deck, bar, and restrooms beneath its gabled ceiling and timber frame, hosting anywhere from 30 to 140 guests. A landscaped garden with a stone wall and water feature provides a backdrop for outdoor ceremonies of up to 140 guests, and a bridal suite gives wedding parties a private space to dress and relax before the event. WiFi and linens are included with every package, and the venue accommodates weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, birthday and engagement parties, corporate meetings, and memorial luncheons.
