The Hard Shell Bellgrade

The Hard Shell Bellgrade is the South Richmond location of The Hard Shell, a seafood and steakhouse restaurant that first opened in 1995 in downtown Richmond's Shockoe Slip. Repeatedly voted "Best Seafood" in the city by Style Magazine and Richmond Magazine, The Hard Shell has built a following on fresh fish and shellfish -- including clams, shrimp, oysters, mussels, crab legs, and lobster -- alongside steaks, ribs, and vegetarian options served in a warm, relaxing dining room. Located in the Shoppes at Bellgrade, the restaurant offers a private dining space that accommodates up to 48 guests, with a full restaurant buyout available for larger events of up to 150 guests. An outdoor patio rounds out the setting, available as weather permits for receptions, rehearsal dinners, and other private gatherings.
