The Inn at Manchester

The Inn at Manchester is a historic bed & breakfast in Manchester Village, Vermont, built in 1890 and welcoming guests as an inn since 1978. Over more than a century, the property passed through several stewards — from Mrs. Mathilda Shepard, who built the original house, to the Rosenberg family, who opened the Inn at Manchester in December 1978 and renovated it with the Vermont Division of Historic Preservation in 1985. In 2015, the Hanes family, then owners of the Inn, added the Celebration Barn as a dedicated event space alongside the property's Carriage House suites. The Celebration Barn offers 2,500 square feet of floor space plus an outdoor terrace and fire pit, with seating configurations that can be tailored to a couple's style. It accommodates gatherings from small, intimate ceremonies to celebrations for up to 170 guests, and also hosts corporate meetings. The Inn at Manchester additionally offers an elopement package for couples planning a simpler, more spontaneous wedding. Since 2018, the Inn has been owned and operated by the Maggiotto family, who continue its tradition of hospitality in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
