The Inn At Mountain View Farm

Built in 1883 by Elmer A. Darling as a working farm supplying his Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York City, the Inn at Mountain View Farm sits on 440 acres in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, near East Burke. The property's cow barn — once home to 100 Jersey cows — remains one of the largest farm structures ever built in Vermont and is considered a landmark for barn design and history. A carriage barn, a Morgan horse barn, and a restored Creamery frame the farm's historic courtyard. For weddings and receptions, the historic Morgan Horse barn offers a rustically elegant setting for up to 200 guests with dancing, while the fireplaced Willoughby Room inside the Inn suits sit-down dinners for 40 to 50 guests. The property also hosts family reunions, corporate retreats, business meetings, and memorial services, with the Threshing Barn and front patio available for rehearsal dinners and smaller private parties. The Inn offers 14 guest rooms and suites, and its 440 acres provide direct access to the Kingdom Trails network, with Burke Mountain ten minutes away.
