The Ivy Inn Restaurant

The Ivy Inn Restaurant occupies a historic house one mile from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville. The property was once part of a larger estate known as "Faulkner House," and the current structure was rebuilt in 1816 after an earlier inn on the site burned in 1815; its kitchen originally served as a tollhouse for travelers between Richmond and Staunton. The restaurant itself was established in 1973 and has been owned and operated by the Vangelopoulos family since 1995. Guests can dine across four dining rooms inside the historic house or on a large tented garden patio, making the property adaptable for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.
