The Landing

The Landing is a heritage park situated along the Minnesota River in Shakopee, Minnesota, about 30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. The grounds preserve 19th-century frontier history through historic buildings arranged as a timeline from the preterritorial era through the late 1800s, allowing self-guided exploration through interpretive media and authentic frontier architecture. For private events, The Landing offers a range of outdoor and indoor spaces — from a covered riverside picnic shelter and open Gazebo area to a smaller climate-controlled gathering room — accommodating groups from intimate gatherings to celebrations of up to 200 guests. The park hosts weddings, family reunions, corporate events, and youth group gatherings, with rental spaces available April through October.
