The Merrimon Wynne House

The Merrimon-Wynne House is a historic mansion in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, built in 1876 and carefully restored in 2014. Situated near the Governor's Mansion on North Blount Street — the birthsite of Dr. Jane McKimmon — the property retains the character of its era: original flooring and fireplace mantels, grand chandeliers, and sweeping porches. The venue offers exclusive, full-day use of the entire property for a single event at a time. The Carriage House — with exposed beams, crystal sconces, and rolling glass doors opening to a pergola — seats up to 225 guests for dinner and dancing, or up to 250 for cocktail receptions. The Lawn, shaded by century-old pecan trees, accommodates outdoor ceremonies and gatherings of up to 275 guests. Each rental includes bentwood chairs, cocktail and rectangular tables, bar fronts, lounge sets, lawn games, a fire pit, patio heaters, and a ceremony arbor — alongside two preparation suites and a dedicated venue manager.
