The Millstone at Adams Pond

The Millstone at Adams Pond is a Southern event venue set on 30 acres east of Columbia, South Carolina, where a former residence sits at the edge of a millpond built in the 1920s. Spanish moss-draped trees, a pecan orchard, and Mill Creek winding toward the Congaree River give the property a woodland setting that feels far removed from the city, while the signature red brick building recalls the site's origins as an 18th-century grits mill. Event spaces include an entry foyer, a formal room with fireplace, a screened porch with its own fireplace and wrap-around open deck, and outdoor common areas encompassing gardens, a foot bridge, and both a front brick patio and a back patio. The grounds can host hors d'oeuvres receptions for up to 350 guests using the interior and exterior spaces together, or seated meals for up to 90 guests indoors, making the venue suited to elegant garden weddings as well as more casual gatherings. Southern Way Catering, an exclusive in-house caterer with more than 40 years in the business, provides food and bar service for events at the venue. Renters also have access to add-on services such as ceremony setup and clear-top tent installation for expanding into the garden space.
