The Modern Honolulu

The Modern Honolulu, A Hilton Vacation Club, is a contemporary hotel and event venue situated along Ala Wai Boat Harbor at 1775 Ala Moana Boulevard in Waikiki. The property hosts events for groups ranging from 10 to 150 guests across a collection of indoor and outdoor spaces, each offering views of the harbor, ocean, and surrounding skyline. The Sun Suite combines an indoor gathering room with a covered outdoor lanai across more than 2,600 square feet, making it well-suited for cocktail receptions, seated dinners, and corporate events. The Private Sunset Beach is an open-air space featuring a round wading pool surrounded by 100 tons of sand and an adjacent cocktail bar — a distinctive backdrop for evening receptions that also offers a prime vantage point for Waikiki's Friday night fireworks. The Grove Restaurant is available for private events both indoors and on the outdoor pool deck. Catering options include butler-passed appetizers, action stations, full buffets, and plated dinners, with full bar service. Complimentary self-parking and WiFi are available for event attendees, and the venue maintains a referral network for audiovisual, lighting, floral, and entertainment services.
