The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History stands as the nation's only congressionally chartered museum in its field, offering one of Albuquerque's most distinctive settings for private events. Founded in 1969 and relocated to its current campus in 2009, the museum holds Smithsonian Affiliate status and is nationally accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The museum's 30,000 square feet of reception space — anchored by Periodic Hall — accommodates cocktail receptions for 300 or more guests, seated dinners for up to 120, and theater-style programs for up to 150. A nine-acre outdoor Heritage Park, featuring historic aircraft and views of the Sandia Mountains, extends the venue's possibilities for photography and pre-event gatherings. Rental packages include tables, chairs, black linens, A/V equipment with PA and projection, and a dedicated security guard. Clients may arrange their own catering, bar service, and entertainment. A docent-led museum tour can be added for guests, giving every event an element that no conventional ballroom can offer.
