About The Observatory at America's Square

THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE HILL Longtime residents and visitors alike fall in love with the community's strong sense of history and identity, which is enhanced by its small village feel in the heart of Washington. In contrast to the awe-inspiring sights of the Capitol and Supreme Court, other streets are lined with charming rowhouses and public parks. AROUND THE CURRENT CORNER Capitol Hill's shops, restaurants, and cafes, which stretch from Pennsylvania Avenue to Eastern Market and Barracks Row, continue to entice both locals and visitors alike. Visit nearby attractions such as the National Mall and Smithsonian museums, or take a bike ride along some of the most beautiful streets in the United States. HOW TO GET HERE Washington's easternmost border is formed by Capitol Hill, which provides easy access to major highways, several Metro lines, and Union Station. A number of Capital Bikeshare stations are also located in the area, particularly to the east of the Capitol. Walking or cycling around the neighborhood is a breeze because the blocks are relatively short and flat. America's Square is an iconic and irreplaceable piece of DC real estate, and the OBSERVATORY is located on top of it. AMERICA'S SQUARE, JOINED BY A DRAMATIC GLASS ATRIUM, IS COMPOSED OF TWO DISTINCTIVE BUILDINGS UNIQUE TO THEMSELVES. LOUISIANA AVENUE is a beautiful, historic building that was originally constructed in 1935 and boasts a classic limestone facade, a two-story marble lobby with Greek columns, and finished ceiling heights of nearly 12 feet. 51 LOUISIANA AVENUE is located in the heart of the historic district of New Orleans. In 2009, Lord Richard Rogers designed a glass and steel building at 300 New Jersey Avenue in New York City that is bold and innovative. Lord Rogers is a well-known international architect who has won numerous awards for his work.
