The Pavilion at Black Water Junction

The Pavilion at Black Water Junction is a family-owned wedding venue set on a 75-acre horse and cattle farm in Union Hall, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Smith Mountain Lake. The farm takes its name from the Blackwater channel that runs along the property, and its rolling pastures open onto views of Jack's Mountain. The venue's open-air pavilion, built by the owners from reclaimed wood, doors, and stained glass gathered from old family buildings, hosts up to 200 guests. Stamped concrete flooring flows from inside the pavilion into a large outdoor dance floor, and a vine-covered arbor overlooking the farm's pastures and pond serves as a ceremony backdrop. Couples are free to bring in their own choice of vendors and decor to shape the day. Rentals include tables and chairs for up to 200 guests, cocktail and food tables, a bar built from a reclaimed door, and use of the grounds' landscaped surroundings and pond. Beyond weddings, the venue hosts private events including birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, corporate gatherings, and family reunions. On-site cabin accommodations are also available for overnight stays.
