The Pavilion at Theater in the Park

The Pavilion at Theatre in the Park is an open-air event venue set within Shawnee Mission Park in Shawnee, Kansas, adjacent to the largest outdoor community theater in the country. Completed in the summer of 2010, the pavilion was built for gatherings of all kinds — from intimate family celebrations to larger corporate events and weddings. The structure features a limestone fireplace, a fire pit, a 16-foot built-in buffet, attached restrooms, and ample on-site parking. Picnic table seating accommodates up to 225 guests, and additional seating can be brought in to host up to 400. As an open vendor facility, clients are welcome to bring their own food, beverages, and alcohol, offering flexibility for any style of event. The Pavilion is well suited for corporate gatherings, family reunions, weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, and private parties in a park setting that draws on the natural surroundings of Shawnee Mission Park.
