The Rex Club

Established in 1938, The Rex Club is a historic bar, restaurant, and event venue located along State Highway 299 E in Burney, California — a small mountain community of roughly 3,200 residents near the Sierra Cascade Mountains. The property served for decades as the main source of entertainment for the local area, hosting live musicians and dancing. The current family ownership acquired the venue in 2006 with the goal of restoring it to its community gathering roots. The Rex Club accommodates weddings, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, fundraising banquets, wine tasting dinners, murder mystery dinners, and other private events. The venue features a full bar with curated beers and wines, in-house dinner service, and a dining room suited for seated gatherings. Overnight cabin accommodations on the property extend the experience for out-of-town guests.
