The Ruins at Sassafras

The Ruins at Sassafras is a former Shaker settlement, now a one-of-a-kind venue that brings together history, nature, and a creative approach to restoration. The transcendent gardens, waterfalls, ruins, and luxury accommodations create an unforgettable place for you to plan your perfect event. Each of our nine sites promises a unique experience for a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail party, and reception. Our chair factory is the last standing Shaker chair factory in the country. It's a rustic space overlooking meadows, mountains, and forests. On the lower level is a Moroccan Bar with a terrace. At one turn, you'll feel like you're in the English countryside, at another, the rustic hills of Tuscany, and then in an American pasture. There are so many places to frolic and explore. We love it here, and we want to share it with others. We offer luxury accommodations for up to 18 people, farm tables and chairs for up to 250, a chauffeured golf cart for up to 6 people, a parking lot for up to 60 cars.
