The Sacramento Zoo

The Sacramento Zoo sits within William Land Park in Sacramento, California, offering one of the region's most distinctive settings for private events, weddings, and corporate gatherings. As a nonprofit accredited by the American Association of Zoos and Aquariums and home to over 300 native, rare, and endangered animals, the zoo provides an atmosphere that no traditional event venue can replicate. Twelve distinct event spaces accommodate gatherings of nearly any size — from an intimate 10-guest Koi Pond setting to full zoo buyouts for up to 2,500 guests. The open-air Flamingo Lake Patio hosts receptions for up to 225 alongside sweeping lake views and resident flamingos, while the Kampala Conference Room provides an indoor option with audio/visual capabilities for up to 80. Four dedicated ceremony sites — including Gibbons Alley, the Amphitheater Stage, the Rare Feline Courtyard, and the Tall Wonders Viewing Deck — give couples a variety of backdrops for their ceremony. Every event rental supports the zoo's conservation mission, funding animal habitats and educational programs. A professional events coordinator works with clients throughout the planning process to tailor each experience.
