The Sanctuary Golf Club

The Sanctuary Golf Club is a private, member-owned club on Sanibel Island, Florida, established in 1993 around an Arthur Hills-designed championship course that earned recognition from Golf Digest as one of America's best private courses. The club borders the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge and holds Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary status, placing it within one of Southwest Florida's most distinctive natural settings. Beyond golf, the club's Clubhouse serves as the center of its social life, with dining spaces designed for gatherings of all kinds — from the Veranda, with panoramic views of the manicured course, to the Wine Room for small private occasions, to the Main Dining Room for larger events and galas. During the winter season, the Clubhouse hosts regular social programming including entertainment nights, wine tastings, ladies' events, and formal galas. The Sanctuary is a member-owned equity club, and its community extends beyond the property through the Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation, established in 2019 to support local philanthropic causes on Sanibel Island.
