The Scranton Club

The Scranton Club has occupied the same building at the corner of North Washington Avenue and Mulberry Street in downtown Scranton since its founding in 1895, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious social clubs in the area. Notable members over its history have included a Pennsylvania lieutenant governor, a U.S. postmaster general, and a justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Members and their guests can host meetings, luncheons, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, and fundraisers in the club's private rooms, which are available to members at no additional cost. A professional staff helps plan and carry out events ranging from a simple lunch to more extravagant gatherings. The club's Bar and Lounge offers a relaxed setting with a large, ever-growing cigar inventory available by the stick or the box. Membership also extends beyond the Scranton clubhouse itself: members gain reciprocal access to more than 20 partner clubs across the United States, along with a complimentary fitness club membership and a discount on overnight rooms at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel.
