The Sugar Barn

The Whiddens purchased the 45-acre property in 2005 and have been slowly preparing the Farm/Ranch for their favorite activities, which include flying, fishing, horses, drinking rum, and of course, hosting weddings. For the past quarter of a century, Bill Whidden has been working in the event industry. The products that he has developed have been utilized all over the world for events such as weddings, major sporting events, numerous parties held at the White House, and corporate parties! The Sugar Barn is truly a one-of-a-kind venue because Bill and Julia have put their whole hearts into making it that way, and they have paid attention to every detail. We are so excited to finally put a face to your name and welcome you to the Sugar Barn. The Sugar Barn is situated on a 45-acre farm, which is also the location of our sugar cane cultivation and harvesting operations; hence, the name of the establishment. The Property is a place that exudes an air of rustic elegance and is framed on all sides by stunning oak trees and water features. One of the options for your ceremony is to take place in our breathtaking outdoor space, which features a grove of towering oak trees draped in an abundance of Spanish moss. The outdoor ceremony site, which we refer to as Wild Orange, is connected to the Sugar Barn by a dock that was hand-crafted and can be found on the other side of the pond. When you enter The Sugar Barn, you will see an assortment of dark red Montana spruce beams that have been fashioned into attractive and sophisticated features throughout the barn. The indoor ceremony area features one of our primary focal points, which is a stone fireplace that is 45 feet tall and creates a mystic backdrop for the area. On the second floor, there is a large bridal suite that is entirely white, as well as a balcony that looks out over the main ballroom.
