The Valentine

The Valentine is a history museum in downtown Richmond, Virginia, founded in 1898 from the estate of Mann S. Valentine II, whose fortune came from Valentine's Meat Juice. His collection, along with the historic Wickham House, became the foundation for a museum now dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting Richmond's history. Beyond its galleries, the Valentine's campus opens its doors for private events, offering roughly 20,000 square feet of indoor venue space alongside an outdoor garden, patio, and terrace. The museum's historic buildings and grounds create a distinctive backdrop for weddings, receptions, and corporate gatherings alike. Private events at the Valentine are coordinated with an on-site event curator and include tables and chairs, WiFi, and a sound system compatible with Spotify, Pandora, and DJ equipment.
