The Wedding Authority

The Wedding Authority is a full-service wedding planning, coordination, and design company based in historic Saint Augustine, Florida. Founded in 1972 by Bill and Carla Young, the company has built its reputation on decades of hands-on experience — Carla brings a background in the floral industry, while Reverend Bill has officiated ceremonies for over twenty years. Both of the company's ceremony venues are located within the landmark Lightner Museum building in downtown St. Augustine. The Courtyard accommodates up to 100 guests for outdoor ceremonies, with city permits and insurance included. The Amore Chapel offers a more intimate setting for up to 50 guests, complete with greenery, candelabras, and traditional wedding music. A ceremony director is included with each space. Beyond the venues, The Wedding Authority offers comprehensive planning and coordination packages, tuxedo rentals, and officiant services — making it a single point of contact for couples planning a ceremony in the St. Augustine area.
