The Westlake

Copper Cove Golf Club sits along Smith Mountain Lake in Hardy, Virginia, where the golf course's back nine winds past several of the lake's quiet coves and inlets. Designed in 1989 by Virginia course architect Russell Breeden, the layout mixes downhill tee shots and double doglegs across its 6,511 yards. Beyond the course, the clubhouse hosts weddings, parties, meetings, and other private gatherings, with three rooms sized for different groups: the Brookline Room for small meetings and gatherings of up to 15, the sunroom-style Kiawah Room for luncheons and cocktail gatherings of up to 45, and the full-size Valhalla Room, a ballroom for weddings and larger parties of up to 100 guests. The Clubhouse itself also opens as a reception or pub-style gathering space. Room rentals include setup and cleanup within a standard event window, and Copper Cove Golf Club provides linens and staffed bar service for private events on-site.
